Zion Milky Way Matted Print

In Zion National Park, you are rarely alone anywhere.  As one of the busiest parks, Zion is hustle and bustle 24 hours a day.  After setting up for sunset as spectators and other photographers pack up and head back for the night, I’m out there in the dark waiting.  I’m normally one of the last photographers, if not the last one, to leave a scene.  I’m just not ready to give up on it: trying to see if it changes or I can get more out of it.  Zion is definitely an amazing place where you can explore so much and enjoy many different and beautiful views.  Photographing at night can have its challenges, but so often you are rewarded with amazing views and images as a result.  Coming from a large city and not being able to see the stars at night makes capturing these images in some of the most beautiful locations in the country (and the world) that much more special for me.
